Last week was a good week for me. Halloween was particularly notable. We had many visitors on Sunday evening — we live right next door to UCSD, so it is easy for the students to come over and ring our doorbell. We bought a dozen bags of candy and all of it was given out to students within an hour. These weren’t kids — they were young adults. My son Jim likes to dress up and scare the little ones each year. We had a good laugh over that.

We continue to make progress on the book about Network Solutions. I am working right now on chapters about computer security and the future of the Internet. I believe a complete draft of the book will be ready in about a week. It will go to red team sometime after we complete the draft.
