Upcoming Visit to the University of Michigan
2 Comments Published by Dr. Beyster October 14th, 2011 in Technology. My plans for a trip to the University of Michigan are firming up. I am now planning to fly out to Ann Arbor for a few days at the end of October.
I have decided not to extend my trip to Washington this time, however, so I can spend some focused time with the University of Michigan researchers. Some of you know that I provide support for a variety of research programs at the College of Engineering. I am pleased with the results of the research, and I am looking forward to getting an in-person update on the team’s current progress.
I am also looking forward to going to Michigan’s homecoming game with Purdue before I return. That should be an eventful day.

Dear Dr. Beyster,
Nanotechnology is at the top of my list of exciting and promising areas of study. It is the one that I most encourage my undergrad students in computer science to check out as they consider specializing for grad school. And it’s good to see that you are going to visit your alma mater. Have a good trip!

Joe: Good to hear from you, and good to hear about our shared interest in nanotechnology. I think big things will be happening in this area in the future, and it seems you agree. I will look forward to your future updates. — Bob
