It is just a few weeks until my upcoming trip to Michigan to attend the homecoming game and visit my old SAE fraternity. I have been looking forward to this visit all year, and I hope that I remain well enough to make the trip.
I have had some ups and downs over the past few months, but I am feeling pretty good right now. If I make it to Michigan, I will be sure to take some photos and post them here.

Enjoy your trip back to Ann Arbor. Always a great place to visit, and especially so when leaves and footballs are in the air. By the way, did you happen to catch the last race in San Fran Bay? Wow, what a comeback.

Thinking of you today as I sign separation papers from SAIC/Leidos. I’ll be returning to the US with my family in the next month or so…
Thank you for giving me an opportunity to make a difference in the world at a company that really cared about its customers and employee-owners. ~30 years at SAIC.
Oh yeah…. Go Buckeyes… (Oops. Probably shouldn’t have said that)

Bob,
I hope your health cooperated and you enjoyed your trip to MI! I parted from SAIC this August after 25 years. I’m stranded on Kauai after 10 years of running the office here. Not a bad place to be jobless! I recently stumbled upon your blog from 2009 about algae as an energy solution. I am talking with a new start up company in the algae field, and it is looking good as my next job. They have a project on Kauai about to restart with DARPA and DOE funding, so I may get to stay right here.
Reading your blog has brought back much nostalgia of the SAIC that used to be. Thank you for sharing your God-given gifts of innovation and leadership with all of us for so many years.

Gil: I did see the final race of the recent America’s Cup. Very impressive. I’m not a big fan of Ellison, but he does a good job of running an America’s Cup team. — Bob
Steve: I would really like to see you. I hope you’ll stop by for a visit the next time you’re out this way. Buckeyes? Who? — Bob
Roger: Thank you for your post on my blog. If you find out some interesting things about what’s new in the algae field, I would like to know about them. — Bob
